Mine Sweeping Race is a multiplayer game in which you must open all the blocks trying to avoid the hidden mines. To avoid the mines, you must follow the information given by some of the blocks, which tell you how many hidden mines there are nearby. If you come across a mine, you will have a penalty of ten seconds and you won't be able to do anything for that time. The thing is that you cannot take much time to think your moves because you play against other players which can be computer players or real players. The game can be played by up to 8 players. As you play, you will be shown the completion percentage of the other player/s, so you will know when you should hurry up. The first player to open all the blocks will be the winner.
Once the game is over, you will be shown your score, if any, and you will be able to share it on multiple social sites or by email. The game features very simple graphics and sounds, and suitable, but a bit annoying music. Luckily, you can mute it from the Options menu. The game can also be played in fullscreen and even from your web browser.
In short, if you are looking for a more challenging variant of the traditional mine sweeper, Mine Sweeping Race can be a good choice.
